PATERNITY

Over the last 50 years there has been a dramatic increase in the number of children born to unmarried couples.  While Father's inherently have rights to legal decision-making and parenting time with their child, these rights are not enforceable without legally establishing paternity.

By filing a Petition to Establish Paternity, a Father may request the court not only to legally declare him the Father of his child, but to establish his legal decision-making authority and parenting time by issuing a court order. 

 

Each parent's child support obligation will also be determined.  Chils support is caculated in accordance with the Arizona Child Support Guidelines using the Child Support Calculator.
